Container or RoRo? How to Ship Trucks and Trailers Overseas

Truck export yard

There are two common shipping methods for exporting semi trailers and heavy trucks: container (including flat rack) and roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels.

Container Shipping

Best for knock-down or compact equipment. A 40ft high-cube can fit two disassembled semi trailers; the freight is lower, but reassembly at destination is required.

RoRo Vessels

The complete vehicle drives straight onto the ship and is ready to use on arrival. Ideal for complete trucks and machinery, with mature routes to major African ports.

We plan the most economical shipping solution based on your model and destination port.
